On May 28, 2015, CBAO members were given a glimpse of the new CBAO Seniors Day Program. Scheduled to launch in September 2016, this important initiative is designed for Italian-speaking seniors living with mild dementia or Alzheimer’s. The CBAO is proud to have delivered upon one of its key areas of focus: piloting a program in Vaughan that research has shown to potentially delay the onset of full dementia by up to three years. The CBAO Seniors Day Program will be run in partnership with COSTI Immigrant Services and will fall under the clinical supervision of Dr. Giovanni Marotta, one of the few Italian-speaking geriatricians in the GTA.
