On November 26, 2015 we celebrated in true Calabrese style at Una Serata in Calabria, our first annual fundraising event, and through the generosity of our sponsors and guests, we also raised more than $147,000 for the CBAO Seniors Day Program. Grazie mille! Set to launch in Fall 2016 at a centre in the Islington and Hwy 7 area, the day program will address the specific needs of Italian-speaking seniors living with early-stage dementia and/or Alzheimer’s, as well as those who care for them. The thoughtful presentation by Dr. Giovanni Marotta, the program’s clinical director, clearly communicated to everyone the need for such an innovative program in our community.
